The North of Tasmania, from Rocky Cape to the northeast coast

Devonport is the ferry’s entry point and departure to the mainland. A scenic coastal road leads west, via small towns, to Rocky Point National Park, with walking trails to formerly inhabited caves and still of great significance to the Tasmanian Aboriginal people. Launceston is Tasmania’s second city, with Cataract Gorge on the South Esk River and a great museum. Further east is Beauty Point with Seahorse World, Australia’s only working seahorse farm. Mount William National Park is on the northeastern point of the island.
