The single domed Xhamia e Mirahorit (Mirahori Mosque) dates from 1494 and is one of the most architecturally important mosques in Albania. It was built and named after Koja Mirahor İlyas Bey, a Muslim convert active in the Ottoman siege of Constantinople (1453).
