Grenada and the Grenadines
Grenada's flag has an unusual design and was officially introduced on 7 February 1974. Yellow stands for the sun and the friendliness of the Grenadian people. Green represents the agricultural basis of Grenada's economy, while red is for harmony, unity and courage. The seven stars symbolise the seven parishes on the island. On the green triangle at the hoist is a nutmeg, the most important export article.
